o2: What up?
I have faith in you KG - June 16, 2008
It was a tough loss last night and there is a lot of trash talking going on. I will never bail on this team though. KG will bounce back. Looking forward to game 6 on tuesday.

Only 3 Left - April 22, 2008
Greetings,
I just completed another treatment today. I am getting closer to the end all the time. I also had a PET scan and received the results today. Everything is looking great. They really explain the results in a technical way that’s hard to translate. The chemo is working well though. Everything is shrinking or is gone. Technically I probably have this thing kicked but you must finish all the treatments. 3 to go. Everything is on track. I am so lucky. Thanks for all the support! I am reading a book my mother gave me called "Quiet Strength". It's a memoir by Tony Dungy. He is the coach of the Indianapolis Colts and the first African American to win the Super Bowl. The book is awesome. He is quite the man and a role model for everyone. I think the book gave me some strength today at Chemo because time flew by. Another person I follow closely is Kevin Garnett. He plays NBA basketball for the Boston Celtics. This guy is so hard to explain. He just won the defensive player of the year award. People get on me because I have jumped on the "Band Wagon" with Garnett being traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves this past offseason. I just shrug this off and say to myself, "How can you not?" I have been watching him since the T'wolves went to the Western Conference Finals. I wish I would have hopped on his "Band Wagon" earlier. The guy is a beast and is rare in times of ego manic driven players. He is very unselfish and has an amazing heart. He can dominate on both ends of the floor. He gets really amped up sometimes which is crazy and fun to watch. This Celtics team they put together is great and this trade has opened me up to so many new players I may not have followed if it were not for KG. Enough of this rant though. Check him in action this Wednesday against the Hawks on TNT at 7PM central. The playoffs rock. Take care y'all.

7th treatment done - March 25, 2008
Just got done with my 7th treatment today. All is well. So far, so good. I have 5 more left. They are thinking about doing a scan after the 8th treatment but they have not decided yet. This ABVD thearpy really does the trick I guess with this type of lymphoma. ABVD is the combination of chemo drugs they are givin' me. I have a link in the links section with information if your interested. Until next time....

Low Blood Counts - March 19, 2008
My white blood cells are low again and they are givin' me the week off. I am going to relax and enjoy the time off from chemo. I will give a more detailed update next week when we regroup and check my little infection fighters. Have a great weekend. O2
6th treatment - Half way done - March 4, 2008
With my 6th treatment over I can officially say I am half way done, just another 6 to go. I am doing good and taking each day one by one. I get my symptoms and I am sure I am grumpy from time to time but all in all I feel very lucky. I want to thank everyone who supports me through this process. From the benefit and well wishers, I thank everyone for their concern. This saying may get old but I am truly "Blessed". Much love to all. Take care. O2
5th treatment and Benefit recap - February 19, 2008
Wow. That is word of the human spirit. This benefit I had last friday was amazing and glorious. They had my music playing, door prizes, live and silent auction and I got to see many old friends. I cannot describe the thanks I wish to convey to everyone involved. One day I will return the favor, some how, some way. As far as my treatments go, I had my 5th one today. It was not to bad. I am just fighting like KG(kevin garnett) on a metaphorical B-ball court. Blocking shots and dunking like a wild animal against my opponnet. I shall never back down. Until next time, PEACE!!!
2nd cycle complete and benefit coming up - February 6, 2008
Yesterday (tuesday the 5th of feb) I did my fourth treatment which wrapped up my 2nd cycle. I was pretty sick yesterday and feeling sick today as well but not as bad. You just take this day by day. I am still having to get WBC booster shots for the next 5 days. On the brighter side of things I have a benefit coming up on the 15th of feb at Grazies Italian grill and bar. It starts at 5pm. Should be fun. I have all the details listed in the calender section. Thanks again for all the support and until next time, yall just keep on trucking. O2
2nd Cycle 1st treatment - January 22, 2008
I have now done 3 sessions of chemo. I have finished 1 cycle (2 sessions) and started the 2nd cycle 1st treatment today. Its a total of 12 chemo sessions or 6 cycles. My Jedi Training has paid off to my loyal followers. Blood counts are looking good. I still have to get a booster shot but for only 4 days after treatment instead 7 like last time. May the force be with you white blood cells. Todays treatment was good. I feel nauseous, but its manageable. Its starting to get predictible on how I am going to react which is good in my eyes. Anyways, thats the updates for now. Take care. Much love from the north.

Chemo today - January 7, 2008
Greetings,
Just had my 2nd treatment. This went far better than the 1st. So far so good. My blood counts are still low so I have to get a shot to boost em up. I am slightly worried that symptoms are gonna show up later instead of right away like the 1st treatment. Overall though, this has been a great day and I just feel blessed for everything in my life. Thanks to everyone for the support. MUCH RESPECT.

Blood counts - January 4, 2008
I was supposed to have chemo today but for some damn reason my little buddies in my blood referred to as white cells are takin a break......eh hmm or I guess the medical term is low. They are the ninjas that fight off infection. They should be better on monday and I will do my next round of chemo hopefully that day if all goes as planned. You know I told my white blood cells to reproduce and have some fun, but nooo, they were probably riding the tunnels of my body like a waterslide instead of making more of themselves. Anyway, I am whipping them back into shape and enrolled them in Jedi hematology training so this does not happen again. PEACE and take care! O2
Happy New Year - January 1, 2008

Update on treatments - December 21, 2007
This week has come to a close and its been quite a run. I had a pet scan on tuesday which came back the same, still stage 3 as its in my spleen, which is good news cause thats what we thought anyway. On Wednesday, I had bone marrow biopsies to determine if the cancer is there, but I dont get the results back for few days. I did my first round of chemo treatments yesterday. It went well until the end when I got real sick and my body ached real bad. After about 2 hrs that went away and I just illed at home all night. Feeling great today and I dont have anything else for 2 weeks. As I have gotten lots of messages and support, this goes to everyone -- THANK YOU!!!Happy holidays and take care and remember I STAY POSTIVE, ITS JUST HODGKINS i'VE GOT THIS. PEACE!!! O2
What is Hodgkins Lymphoma? - December 18, 2007
An Interesting and rare cancer of the lymphatic system. Unfortunately, I got the damn thing and start treatments this Thursday. Don’t worry about me though, I will be back at the grind in no time as this is very treatable. I will be keeping updates online about my journey through treatment. Keep checking back and word up to the homies. O2
